InterPLAY Festival is back for its 20th year in Fort McMurray! It's happening from Friday, August 6th to Sunday, August 8th downtown on Franklin Ave. There are food vendors, music, street performers, and all sorts of other entertainment for the entire family!

SummersEND 2010 is happening this year from Friday, September 3rd to Sunday, September 5th at MacDonald Island Park! In addition to amazing live performances from the legendary Stompin' Tom Connors, April Wine, Destroyer, Bed of Roses, and Barnie Bentall and the Legendary Hearts!  - this year also marks the return of the Blueberry Carnival Midway!

Due to the tremendous amount of support from volunteers and community leaders/ sponsors, the Canadian Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure is the largest single day, volunteer – led fundraising event in Canada dedicated to raising funds and awareness for breast cancer research.  Believe us, it will be no different this year!  There are still lots to get done for this year’s coming event so here is your chance to get involved!

 

On October 3rd at Syncrude Sport and Wellness Center, here is how things shall commence!

• 11:30 a.m. Final Registration/ Donation Drop-off

• 12:30 p.m. Opening Ceremonies
• 1:20 p.m. Warm-up
• 1:30 p.m. Start of Run

Attention all of you U2 fans!! As you all know, U2 had to reschedule their "360° Tour" due to a back injury causing frontman of the band, bono, to have an emergency sugery but hold tight because the new dates have been released! If you were one of the lucky ones that had tickets for the U2 show that was initially supposed to take place on June 23, 2010, get ready! The new date will be June 1, 2011 and will still be at Commonwealth Stadium.

Tickets for the new tour are still available for purchase through Live Nation so, if you didn't have tickets before, you too can be part of the lucky ones.
